Ski & Snowboard Hire - 2010/2011

We ask that ski equipment is pre-booked and pre-paid please to guarantee availability. We will ask for your requirements on the Booking Form that you complete when you confirm your booking.

All children aged 11 and under on date of departure qualify for free ski equipment hire (standard skis, sticks, boots and helmet) for the duration of the holiday - worth over £120 per person (for a 6 day rental). Sorry, snowboard hire is not included in this offer.

Since 1st January 2005 all skiers and snowboarders, aged 14 or under, using the pistes of Italian ski resorts are required to wear a helmet. You can either buy these in the UK or in resort, or they can be rented from us in resort (pre-booking and pre-payment is required to guarantee availability).

Champoluc

We run our own ski hire and deposit in Champoluc, just metres from the bottom of the main gondola and the bottom of the piste back in to the resort. Equipment is issued here from our extensive stock and then stored for the remainder of your stay in a deposit right at the bottom of the piste. Our trained British staff are on hand throughout your day should you wish to change your equipment, or discuss trying out a different pair of skis.

In the morning a short walk from your hotel to this ski deposit will allow you to collect your skis and boots, ascend 3 short flights of stairs to the gondola station. At the end of the day a red run from the top of the gondola brings you within steps of the ski deposit door, where you can return your ski equipment, put on your comfortable shoes and amble back to your hotel.

As well as a store for our comprehensive range of skis and boots, our ski hire acts as our main Champoluc resort office. With a comfortable seating area, internet access (free use on request for Ski 2 clients) and an information point, this office is open between 0830 and 1730 hours every day, staffed by at least one member of our resort team. If you arrive in the evening and would prefer to collect your ski equipment outside of these hours, this can easily be arranged.

Please note that we have recently introduced a new level of 'Prestige' skis. These are top of the range skis and include 'twin tips' skis and the best racing skis.

All prices quoted below are 'per person' for the number of days indicated and include FREE storage in a ski deposit within a few metres of the bottom of the piste and the main ski lift. If you bring your own equipment this is also stored at no charge.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THOSE THAT TRAVEL WITH US REGULARLY ..... From December 2010, we will be charging for ski and snowboard equipment hire at a daily rate (previously we have offered both a daily rate and a 6 day rate). Our younger guests will continue to qualify for free ski equipment hire for the duration of their holiday - worth £120 for a 6 day rental.

Helmet hire - 11 and under – compulsory and free of charge for the duration of your holiday

Helmet hire - compulsory for those aged 14 and under - £4 per day (or part of day)

Ski Boot Hire - 11 and under – free of charge for the duration of your holiday

Ski Boot Hire - 12 and over - £7 per day (or part of day)

Standard Carving ski hire - carving skis (but probably not this year's model) including storage - £9 per day (or part of day). Please note that Standard skis are included free of charge to those aged 11 and under

Superior Carving ski hire - (probably this year's model) including storage - £14 per day (or part of day).

Prestige Carving ski hire - (the very latest skis including Twin Tips and Fat Boys) including storage - £21 per day (or part of day)

Standard snowboard Hire – All ages - £10 per day (or part of day)

Superior Snowboard Hire – All ages - £13 per day (or part of day)

Snowboard Soft Boot Hire - All ages - £7 per day (or part of day)
